I did a few series like this where there is chronological sequence. Looks like this is the only one that survived, stuck in a pocket of an old folder on two papers. Mary Beth is a name I gave to all the unknown women that I drew way back when, or that still infiltrate my nightmares.
Most of these 'Mary Beth' characters have their hair mutilated for some reason. The little story that goes with this very early rendition pretty much sums up the period of my thoughts of the late 70's.
