My First Haircut #23

Is this the finish to this story?

----------------------------

Patti Rae meets a potential new boyfriend on the eve of the new millennium! She hopes he will end her life alone. He has plans, though! First, he requests her to strip in her hotel room, has her tie her ankle length hair in two high pigtails, and hands her a pair of scissors.

"Do one more thing for me!" he asks.

"Yes?" she inquires.

"Cut off your pigtails for me." he implores.

"CUT my pigtails?" she worries.

"YES! I need to see you cut your hair. Please, cut your hair for me! Kneel in the corner and face me." he pleads.

After Patti Rae kneels with the shears in her hand, she looks at him with tears in her eyes.

"Come on, girl! Cut that hair! You can do it!  Do it for me!" he demands.

"I'll cut my hair for you. How short would you like me to cut?" she cries.

"Put the scissors at the top of your ear. Cut your pigtails there." he grins.

Patti Rae raises the shears to her left pigtail and opens the blades. She closes her eyes. She can't cut her hair.

"Come on or I'm out of here!" he shouts as he walks to the door.

"I'll cut it! Please stay with me!" she pleads.

"Prove it! Cut that hair short!" he shouts.

Patti Rae raises the scissors to her pigtail once more. Tears flow from her eyes.

"Please reconsider! I've had long hair all my life! I'm 45 and have NEVER cut my hair!" she pleads and cries.

"Cut or I leave!" he retaliates.

Patti Rae's hand shakes as she closes the blades on her left pigtail. Her hair is thick. She will need several closings to sever her hair. She pauses again as the small amount of pressure she uses to cut the tail cuts nothing.

"Try again! Cut your hair!" he demands.

Patti Rae's hand shakes with the shears. She looks at him with quivering lips. She drops the scissors.

"WELL?" he shouts.

"I cant cut it." she cries.

"This is your LAST chance!" he compels.

"Please love me with my hair long!" she pleads

"Bye." he says and leaves.

As the fireworks display lights the dark sky, Patti Rae darkens her room to stare out the window. She is alone on this night because she couldn't cut her hair. She fills the tub with water and waits for what the new millennium may bring.
